Switzerland leads the world ranking of the most innovative countries, according to the Global Innovation Index, published annually by Cornell University and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The study, now in its tenth edition, evaluates the situation in 127 economies that account for 92.5% of the world’s population and 97.6% of global GDP. Switzerland appears for the seventh consecutive year as the most innovative country, with particular emphasis on “human capital and research, infrastructure and business development“.
